This Spirulina Smoothie has quickly become my favorite breakfast. I love that it’s loaded with filling fiber and plant-based protein, and it’s a delicious way to include this popular blue-green algae into your day.
Ingredients
1 Frozen peeled banana
1/2 Cup sliced cucumber
3/4 - 1 Cup of milk (less for thicker smoothie, more for thinner smoothie)
1 Handful spinach or chopped kale
1 Tsp Spirulina Powder
1 Tbsp Chia seeds
Optional Toppings
Instructions
Blend all the ingredients until creamy and smooth and serve.
Tip: If too thick, thin with water or more coconut milk. If too thin, thicken with ice or more frozen banana ;)
